IPTV in India
Reliance Communications is in alliance with Microsoft to bring IPTV to India . Put simply it will broadcast TV to our homes using same protocol as computer data is transferred .
What are the advantages of IPTV ?
Though there are many advantages I will list some of them :
First advantage is TV will become more interactive like for reality show we can do voting as we are watching the program and it can be captured by the channel instantaneously unlike present format where we have to send SMS’s.
Second advantage is we can watch TV from different angles if we have picture in picture capabilities so we can watch bowler’s angle and batsmen angle at the same time.
Third advantage is user can perform fast forward , rewind , pause and can use mobile phones to control the TV and can operate TV remotely.
There are many more advantages and it really depends on the capabilities of IPTV set top box and the internet infrastructure.
