Sensex and investor

Published by Veresh under Economy, India

With P-Notes (what are p-notes ?) being surely going to be stopped , there seems no stopping sensex going downward. With the kind of crazy high we have seen in the last month with so much money being pumped in by FII’s (roughly 80b$ of which around 50% is through p-notes) so now there seems to be rush of taking money out and hence the fall seems to be no stopping.

Really speaking it was expected because as FM said he was not comfortable with the rise of the rupee and sensex not reflecting the state of the economy , whereby sensex seems overheated but economy was cool.

What does future hold for investors like me ? One thing is for sure Indian economy outlook is great for the long term as it is expected to grow by 8-10% so if you are for long term then spend in quality stock and hold on and make informative decisions.

Hindi Website

Published by Veresh under Musing

Network18 group has launched a hindi website josh18. This is great news for Hindi reader as there are very few sites in Hindi .Network18 has got some of the best sites like ibnlive and moneycontrol and hopefully they will maintain the standards to the same level in term of content and presentation. Unlike other sites like TOI and ndtv there sites , barring moneycontrol are more stable , doesn’t have popups for each page and are very elegant . They should move moneycontrol also to ibnlive.com \ buzz18 platform which are more elegant.

Om Shanti Om Vs Saawariya

Published by Veresh under Movies

This is turning out to be be the biggest competition on the box office and seems better then movies itself as it is running longer then 3 hour movie :-). OSO and Saawariya both have there plus points (as of now I don’t see any minus points) . Saawariya has marginally better director then OSO but OSO has more star power then Saawariya . OSO seems has all the tried and tested bollywood masala but Saawariya looks better directed (at least on promo’s) . Saawariya has marginally better songs overall not a chart buster like Dard-E-Disco but overall good songs . OSO is promoted better at least in my area as all the vantage points are taken over by OSO hoardings.

My personal belief is Shahrukh fan following will definitely make it a hit and his overseas audience will generate enough money to make if no-dud rest depends on the story , I hope it is like Mai Hoon Na with non stop masala , on Saawariya it definitely well be well directed and since no one knows the story it will carry on it’s element of suspense initially , it will be boring in middle like all SLB films with great start and end.

I haven’t decided yet which movie I will be watching first but it will mostly depend on the ticket availability.

So which movie you will watch first ? Take a quick Poll >>

Cricket Losses

Published by Veresh under Sports

So we lost again !! After the high of T20 winning the low of losing series to Australia came very early and it really is not a loss but a thrashing going down 4 -1 in 5th match of the series (thank god it rained otherwise it could very easily be 5-1) . So what is the cause of the this loss , it looks like it has more to do with the system then the talent as we win more by chance then by surety . Why is that the richest board in the world cant produce a consistent performing team ? According to Imran Khan subcontinent doesn’t have proper cricket structure and domestic league is not very competitive so players coming out are talented but not mentally tough so we have good shot makers but not mentally tough players and Australia have the best league so better mentally tough players , this looks to be a correct explanation of the problem as per me , considering the number of close matches we have lost making winning T20 an exception .

Hopefully BCCI will funnel some money in making domestic league competitive then creating academies like one in Rajasthan with Chappel as helm and one in Bangalore with Dave Whatmore as helm . What we need is competitive players not great shot makers and btw what does Niranjan Shah knows about team composition when he makes comments like ” Ganguly doesn’t fit in team composition so he has been left out”

Gutless Congress.

Published by Veresh under India Politics

With all the news stories to be believed looks like congress is going back on N-Deal , if this turn out to be true then this is the most gutless show by the goverment. With all the high talking about the N-Deal and the benefits it could bring to India going back should not be the option especially with Manmohan Singh himself putting his stake on line. Now what are they are doing by towing to the demand of Left who want to rule by proxy . If it had to come to this then why the hell they did all the tough talking to the US and made a mockery of themselves . Now what is the alternative ,  who will feed the power hungry country , it would be better if instead of going back govt. come up with alternative which I don’t think are many.

I would have preferred congress goverment to go down on this deal then making a U-turn , I seriously pray Narendra Modi to loose election in Gujrat so that I can vote for BJP as he is the only reason I dont like BJP otherwise that is the only party which knows how to work with allies and atleast had some guts to walk the talk on big issues like this remember Nuclear testing . Gone are the days when congress had leaders like Indira Gandhi.
